OUr philosophy
Twinkling Stars provides a caring 'home like' environment in which infants and toddlers can feel loved, secure and nurtured in a happy, friendly atmosphere that is welcoming for both parents and children.
Twinkling Stars' philosophy believes it is important to become an extended part of the children's family. A positive and comfortable relationship between staff and parents is extremely important. This ensures that we are fully aware of the child's daily routine. The staff at Twinkling Stars will support parents and encourage them to phone at any time, so they always feel part of the child's day.
Twinkling Stars provides activities which match the development needs of the children and allows for exploration and experimentation with materials. We strive to provide a rich holistic environment enabling the children to develop awareness of themselves and the world around them. We respect infant and toddlers individuality by having flexible routines. We believe that the care for babies and toddlers is 'special' and their physical and emotional well-being must first be met to enable the child to grow and learn. Children will be held, cuddled, sung to and nurtured through touch and language. We play an enormous part in the lives of the infants and toddlers attending the centre so it is important to us to provide a loving nurturing environment.
We recognise the specific needs of infants and toddlers, as such we employ staff that are trained in infant and toddler care, or who has in depth experience with this specialised age group. All staff have a full understanding of the developmental stages and individual children's physical, social, cultural and emotional needs.
